Course Knowledge Examination for Foreign Nursing Professionals according to § 40 - Pflegeberufegesetz (PflBG)

Nursing professionals from abroad who wish to work in Germany require recognition of their professional qualification. Recognition as a nursing specialist can be achieved through a successful knowledge examination. Here we offer targeted guidance and support.

Our course consists of three phases:

  1. Orientation phase - individual counselling, guidance and support in the recognition procedure of the aptitude/knowledge test (entry possible at any time).
  2. Qualification phase - social, linguistic and operational integration (every 6 months)
  3. and entry into a profession as a nursing specialist.

The offer is intended as preparation for the successful knowledge examination. We prepare the participants for the knowledge examination and also take the knowledge examination. The participants are individually accompanied, advised and supported until successful completion of the knowledge examination and entry into the world of work as a nursing specialist once the decision of the district government is available.

Focal points of the course Knowledge examination

We offer participants social, linguistic and occupational integration. The special feature of our Knowledge Examination course is that we consistently develop professional action competence in our teaching concept. This means that nursing, everyday, technical and educational language and socio-culture are thought, taught and lived in an integrative way here, so that the participants are and remain capable of acting in professional practice. They are prepared in the nursing school and in nursing practice for the knowledge examination and for life and work in Germany.

The curriculum is formulated integratively and interculturally (nursing, language and socio-culture) and is based on the framework curricula of the expert commission according to § 53 PflBG.
